Dear readers, this is one of the best geisha houses in the city. You won’t see the most polished Crane or proper Lion here, and many accuse its entertainment of being lowbrow, but they are wrong. The students of Kakita Zachi perform here, and they perform truth. Stories of terror, of loss, of feeling are what you’ll find here, often including the supernatural elements that too many samurai consider distasteful. You simply must visit and soak in the beauty of it all.
