A teahouse in Ochiyo that honors Shinsei.

Komachi’s Travel Guide:

The legend goes that the prophet Shinsei stopped at this site on his way to gather the Thunders for his final battle against Fu Leng. At that time, the district didn’t yet exist; only peasants lived outside the Miwaku Kabe. Shinsei visited their homes and took tea with them. He spoke for many hours to anyone who would listen, and answered many questions. Not wishing to be worshipped, Shinsei asked that the peasants refrain from honoring his presence. So instead, after Shinsei’s departure, the people constructed a simple tea house in memory of the hope he inspired.

Shinsei’s Precious Memory has no staff. It has become a local custom for everyone to offer time here when they are old enough for the responsibility.
