True love. Can any understand it who have not known it? So powerful, it can reach beyond the grave.
Who would have thought that a political alliance could transform into a love as powerful as that between Bayushi Shoju and Kachiko? So strong that when Shoju died, Kachiko followed him before his funeral arrangements could even be finalized?
It seems though, while she tried to follow him, her spirit was still too far behind. She couldn’t find him in death, and so she now searches for him in this world.
At least, this is what I believe. Many have spoken of the spirit that now haunts the Scorpion embassy. A beautiful woman, and who in this world was more beautiful than Kachiko? If it is truly her, then I weep at the tragedy. That she should be trapped here while her true love has moved on.
